1.2. Disclaimer

Limited warranty: Any warranty that appears to be granted terminates at the moment any data within the plan is altered.

Ca$h Plan, is the most complete and lowest cost tool for creating and maintaining your financial plan. It combines an easy to use interface, gold coin buttons for navigating from screen to screen, help text bubbles for any data field which shows a question-mark, default values, strong validation rules applied immediately as you update fields on the client side, as well as a complete re-validation at the server side, help pages for each data and result page, multi-color graphs to make the results come alive - which may be to subtle to discern fully in reports.

The above is forward-looking and does not represent a claim that this tool is error-free. Extensive testing has been carried out. However, since it is impossible to test 100% fully anything but the most trivial software, complex software is prone to have hiding in it inadvertent errors, which we hope are harmless. It behooves any user of Ca$h Plan to use a spreadsheet to double-check and to assess our results for reasonableness.

At some future date, after significant valuable features have been added this tool may no longer be free of charge. It may at some time also require password control, to protect your data from being accidentally destroyed by other people. Unique user names may not be sufficient.

What's new page

1.3. Getting help

Each page that makes up the Ca$h Plan system comes with help text describing what the planning page is all about, its contents, how it works, etc. Accessing such a help text page only requires that you click on the gold coin button which has the word "Help" on it. Caveat: on the "Update" page, if you exit the page your changes are lost unless you apply the changes:.

Click here before leaving the "Update" page.

In addition to these whole pages of help text, certain fields have individual help text bubbles that pop up when you want to see them. This applies to all fields that you can type data into, denoted with a question mark after the field description. Just move the mouse pointer over this question mark and you will see a transparent bubble like this, with information about that field:

1.4. Privacy policy

This financial planning system is offered free of charge to the public, with no intention of invading your privacy.

We do not know who you are.  We do not want to know. Remember the saying "On the Internet, nobody knows if you're a dog?"

Well you would not be here if you were, but we can't tell who you are. The only reason for the login is for you
to be able to return and resume your financial planning where you left off. This requires saving the data you
entered.  The user name your enter temporarily gives your data a unique identity so that you can re-use it
later, and also keeps prying eyes out of your data. No cookies are used. If you should email us with a problem
report, we may then ask for your file name/user name in order to look at your plan data to resolve the problem.

At a future date a more complete version of this product may be offered for a charge, which offers many more
features.   The user name and password will then also be used for tightly restricting the planning system use to
you and along with other personal information, facilitate the payment transaction.

In the meantime, enjoy the free service. You give up no private information, just go ahead and invent a user
identifier that might be the name of your dog. Including numbers and special characters helps make it unique.
